As the official film centerpiece of the 2025 Abibitumi 'Black Power' Conference, this 3-day hybrid festival brings together Kmtyw (Black People) filmmakers, scholars, and creatives from across the continent and diaspora.

Our theme: “WHAT BLACK POWER IS: DEMONSTRATION OVER CONVERSATION” This is cinema as action—resistance, community building, artistry, and imaginative revolution.

What to expect:

Opening ceremony, screenings, and live performances

Workshops and panels on storytelling, tech, and liberation

Youth showcases, satellite screenings, and awards

In-person and online access via secure platform

Films include:

Documentaries, radical fiction, music videos, AI-animated shorts, and student work

All directed, produced, or written by Kmtyw (Black People)

Awards & Prizes:

Cash prizes, jury distinctions, and global features on Abibitumi.com

This is more than a festival—it’s a liberation platform. Welcome to the demonstration.
