Short answer: Every paid order on AYATICKETS is tagged with a sales channel so you can see how the buyer checked out: Web, App, USSD, or WhatsApp. Look on your organizer home under recent orders, or open All orders for the full list and attendee view.
Where to see the channel
- Organizer home — each recent order line shows the reference, ticket count, and channel (for example · 2 tickets · WhatsApp).
- All orders — Dashboard → Orders lists every order. Open an order or export attendees to see the same labels.
- Attendee list — WhatsApp buyers show a green WhatsApp badge instead of a normal name row. USSD buyers show a mobile USSD badge. Guest checkout on the website shows Guest checkout.
- AYATICKETS Organizer app — event order APIs include
sales_channelwhen you view orders on mobile (same values as the website).
What each channel means
| Label | Buyer experience |
|---|---|
| Web | Checkout on ayatickets.com (including guest checkout without an account). |
| App | Purchase in the AYATICKETS attendee mobile app. |
| USSD | Buyer used *365*88# or your event USSD code. See USSD for your event. |
| Buyer completed checkout with the AYATICKETS bot in WhatsApp (MoMo, tickets delivered in chat). Buyer guide: how to buy via WhatsApp. |
Revenue, fees, and payout rules are the same regardless of channel—only the checkout path differs.
WhatsApp orders specifically
- The dashboard may show the buyer’s MoMo or contact detail we have on the order (not always a full name).
- Ticket delivery for the buyer happens in WhatsApp; you still see the order as paid in your dashboard and can scan QR codes at the door like any other ticket.
- Promote WhatsApp sales from your event page button Get tickets on WhatsApp or your Official link kit WhatsApp caption when you share the event.
Older orders
Orders created before sales channels were stored may still display correctly using legacy rules (for example placeholder @whatsapp.ayatickets.com emails). New orders always store an explicit channel at checkout.
FAQ
Can I filter only WhatsApp orders?
Use All orders and scan the channel column or badges. Advanced filtering by channel may be added later; export attendees if you need a spreadsheet for one event.
Does WhatsApp count toward ticket limits and capacity?
Yes. WhatsApp uses the same inventory and ticket types as web and USSD.
Why do I not see WhatsApp on my event?
WhatsApp sales require a published, on-sale event that passes the same availability rules as USSD. Password-protected or coming-soon events may not sell on WhatsApp. Troubleshoot with tickets not on sale.
