Short answer: Create a Point of Sale (POS) login for each box-office staff member, assign events they can sell, and let them sell from the POS dashboard at the venue. Sales count in the same reports as online orders.
When to use POS
- Door sales and cashless box office
- Multiple registers with separate staff logins
- Selling on the night when online sales are still open (where allowed)
Step 1: Create a POS account (organizer)
- Sign in to your organizer dashboard.
- Open My points of sale (dashboard → my points of sale).
- Click Add a new point of sale and create credentials for the staff member.
- Assign which events and dates the POS user may sell (during setup/edit).
Step 2: Sell at the venue (POS user)
- The staff member signs in with their POS account (not your owner login).
- They see Events on sale available to their account.
- Select event date and ticket types, build the order, and complete checkout like a normal sale.
- The buyer receives tickets by email/SMS according to the contact details entered at POS checkout.
Reporting
POS sales appear in your organizer orders and reports (often labeled as point-of-sale channel). Compare with online and USSD in managing orders and dashboard metrics.
FAQ
Can POS sell if my event is password-protected or hidden?
POS and scanner flows still work for events you authorize—the same rules as other staff tools.
Do POS sales affect payouts?
Yes. They are part of your event revenue. Set up payout details and follow the payout request process.
